Use case: International luxury e-commerce platform for a Japanese company

A Japanese luxury goods resale company needed a complete digital transformation to compete in the global high-end B2C e-commerce market. In the pre-owned luxury retail industry, customer trust, website performance, and seamless user experience are critical to converting international browsers into buyers.

I led the end-to-end marketing strategy and platform design for a luxury e-commerce website, from brand identity to conversion-optimized UX and full WordPress + WooCommerce implementation for international customers. (Project currently in final development phase before launch)

 

Solution: Marketing-first e-commerce platform strategy

  • Market Research & Competitor Analysis: Conducted in-depth UX benchmarking and SEO competitive analysis of leading luxury e-commerce platforms (Vestiaire Collective, The RealReal, Farfetch) to identify conversion best practices and search optimization strategies.
  • Brand Identity & Visual Design: Created a complete visual identity system and brand guidelines reflecting premium positioning. Designed high-fidelity UX/UI mockups in Figma with focus on trust signals, product presentation, and mobile-first design for global audience.
  • Conversion-Driven Feature Selection: Selected and implemented plugins based on e-commerce conversion metrics and user behavior best practices:
    • Fuzzy search plugin → reduces search abandonment by tolerating typos (luxury brand names often misspelled by international customers)
    • Advanced product filtering → optimized category, price, brand, and condition filters for faster product discovery
    • Trust and social proof elements → customer reviews, authenticity verification badges, secure payment icons
    • Strategic CTA design → button placement and styling based on luxury e-commerce conversion data
  • WordPress + Elementor Development: Built the complete platform using WordPress and Elementor:
